I Love a Good Recession

Too many people are bothered by the idea of economic recession. Bah Humbug! I say.
Look at the positive side to it.
Petrol has gone down to $1 a litre from $1.60 litre.
Interest rates have come down and will continue to fall.
Prices in shops have been reduced and retailers scramble to capture sales in a time when sales should be at their annual peak. Christmas is usually a boon time for retailers.
I even suspect that I'll no longer have trouble getting a tradesman since the housing boom has collapsed.
Not to forget that housing prices are coming down.
But what's best of all, the government is giving a bonus payment to pensioners in an attempt to boost the economy. Spend spend spend is the message.

I love a good recession don't you?

You forgot to mention that stocks are on sale too for those who want to get in on the "ground floor"

Lex,

You're missing some good ideological battle on my blog. It would be great to have you join in at the end of the looong posts!

Hope all is well, John
