While my wife is still in hospital, there is hope that her condition of dementia can be treated. It seems that the episodes of frequent falling (whatever the reason) might have resulted in trauma to the brain causing a blood clot. This clot would result in symptoms of confusion, disorientation, loss of memory and change in personality.
I haven't lost hope of a full recovery.
Friday night she was dressed, told me she was OK and ready to go home.
Sadly, this was only a temporary respite and her condition is still worrying.

I am glad there are at least some periods of lucidity - that gives some hope at least. Are there tests to find this possible blood clot and remove it?
Jeannie, don't know yet.
I hope she gets better and can come home.
I hope she is or gets better soon Lex. I can't imagine the stress you're going through these days.
