On the other hand, my joy is dampened by the fact that my biggest single hit is Christian Nudist Convocation. It was a story I thought quirky enough to deserve attention.
It certainly isn't my proudest moment or the article I'd like to be remembered by.
Still, I can compare myself to the very interesting blog titled Sexuality in the Arts, which has over 1 million hits. No doubt the title and the word "sexuality" might have something to do with the wild success of the blog. In fact the author is a very serious and interesting person who shows depth of insight and knowledge that I find fascinating.
This makes me wonder about how many people who are drawn to my blog by "Christian Nudist Convocation" take the time to explore other articles. Am I kidding myself her or what?
I know that my own personal attention span is very limited and if I do visit a blog because that person has commented on mine, I will peruse their site but really only skim the surface.
Time is limited and there's so much to explore. I know the limitations of the medium and have deliberately condensed my ideas as much as possible. Sometimes I might come across as trivial or superficial but let me tell you, there's a lot of thought in my pithy short sentences.
Oh well, thanks for the comments because they are what keep me going.

Do you have dreams of making blogging into a "commercial" enterprise?
I think you do a wonderful job of being concise. I have never had the notion you were superficial although I frequently discover from reading your blog that I am.
Congratulations on the success of your porn site!!
Ha ha ha!!!
Seriously, congratulations, you have a great blog!
FJ, just a dream.
Jeannie, don't be hard on yourself.
CJ, thanks.
CONGRATS!
i wiped my sitemeter stats out a few months ago when i switched to new blogger and wiped all comments out when i switched to haloscan - starting from scratch.
Do number of hits received have anything to do with that dream?
FJ, no I'm just a dreamer ;)
Well, can you put your hands in your head?
Congrats, Lexcen. I like pithy.
Thanks Pinky, hope you hang around.
