Van Gogh and the Movie "Submission"

I couldn't understand why there was so much rage against the movie "Submission" by Theo Van Gogh. It cost him his life - he was savagely murdered (throat cut, shot, with a knife left sticking in his chest) and a note attached.

So what could cause such anger against him?

The reason is this, the writings of the Qur'an are the most holy scriptures in Islam. The female body is the filthiest object in the world. To put the holy scriptures on the female body is considered obscene and blasphemy. Get It?

I doubt any of the murderers saw the movie.

Hammer, they wouldn't need to see the movie, it's blasphemy remember. You can see it online. It looks innocuous enough until you understand the significance of the symbolism and what it means to Muslims.

I think you will agree that this was just an excuse for evil people to do evil things. It is a shame that we and others cannot simply speak the truth. People who do bad things are bad people. People who applaud other people doing bad things are bad people. People who support other people doing bad things are bad people.

Ok, I guess the nuclear scenario is not such a bad idea afterall.
