Peter Carey (Author)Peter Carey is now famous for his novels, but I first read him as a short story teller. The Fat Man in History, a volume of stories with a dreamlike, surreal context will leave the reader gasping for breathe, thrilled and perplexed at the same time.
Illywhacker, is a monster of a novel, I think by far his best work.
