Evolution of my blog meme

I have been tagged by BEAJ to list five blogs that chart the evolution of my blog.

I'm OK with that because nothing interests me more than talking about myself.

In the great tradition of navel gazing, of which I am a practiced exponent, I hereby dedicate this blog ( #613) to the Evolution meme.

1.
I began blogging because my poor suffering wife had to endure my daily rantings about this and that. She would often tell me that I should put my opinions on the net for all to see. It's not that she didn't appreciate my rantings, it's just that she thought I deserved a bigger audience than just one. And so with much trepidation, I posted my first blog on February 28th 2006 on the Cult of Celebrity.

2.
Looking backwards, I can see that my interest in crazy Muslims started early, check out this blog for the marvellous video of a Mullah who whips himself into such a fury that he starts hitting himself.

3.
I guess that being attacked by others isn't a pleasant experience because my reaction to the dickhead Andrew seemed to be more passionate than I ever expected myself to become.
I don't go out of my way to offend anybody, in fact I'm very cautious in everything I say no matter how controversial the subject may be.
Fortunately this was a one off occurrence.
I think it is important to maintain good manners at all times when commenting on blogs. It is just too easy to be abusive when you're hiding behind a pseudonym.

4.
I decided to conduct a survey by polling opinions and found that this got the most comments other than pictures of naked women.
The fact is that I don't really care how many hits I get or even how many comments. Just one comment is enough response to encourage me to continue blogging.
I know for a fact the a surefire way of increasing traffic to my blog is to post naked pix. But what's the point of that?

5.
My sense of humor has been a characteristic of my blogging style and I'm not sure if a sense of humor can evolve or not. Nevertheless, those of you who read my blog would have figured it out by now and those that haven't just don't come back again. Ce'st La vie.
I guess I overstepped the mark when I tagged people who didn't read my blog last time I was tagged, it made sense to me but maybe not.
Looking back, I still think my first attempt at humor is one of my all time favorites. Tell me what you think of the Ikea catalog front page.

Now I should tag five others.

Hammer - because he has become icon on blogosphere and always manages to comment on my posts.

Little Lamb - because she is an inspiration to so many others.

Jeannie - because I'm hoping to see some evolution very shortly.

Jenafear- because she is one of the first blogging friends I made and who has put a new meaning to the word "evolution".

/t - because he is so inspiring.

Very interesting. thanks for the tag. I was wondering what to post today.

I can see where you are coming from and I'm glad to see you are sticking to your roots.

Posting naked pics - if I did that everyone would stop coming, so to speak...
