Candida albicans and Candidiasis

Having suffered for most of my life with a medically undiagnosed condition, I eventually discovered an article on the internet about Candida albicans.

Candida albicans is a type of parasitic yeast-like fungus that inhabits the intestines, genital tract, mouth, esophagus, and throat. Normally this fungus lives in healthy balance with the other bacteria and yeasts in the body; however, certain conditions can cause it to multiply, weakening the immune system and causing an infection known as Candidiasis. The fungus can travel through the bloodstream to many parts of the body.

Because candidiasis can affect various parts of the body ... it can be characterized by many symptoms ...

     constipation,   diarrhea,colitis,  headaches,
 memory loss,    bad breath,   impotence,  rectal itching,
 mood swings,   prostatitis,  sore throat, abdominal pain,
 canker sores,    persistent heartburn,     nagging cough,
 muscle and joint pain,  PMS,    adrenal problems,
 congestion,extreme fatigue,    hyperactivity,    acne
 vaginitis, night sweats,    dandruff,   severe itching,
 depression,arthritis,   hypothyroidism,  endometriosis
 kidney and bladder infections,  tingling sensations,
 numbness in the face or extremities,burning tongue,
 white spots on the tongue and in the mouth,     diabetes.
 bloating, gas    anxiety,   asthma,  respiratory illness
 blurred vision,  sugar cravings,  chronic dental problems
 concentration and short-term memory problems,   Autism
 extreme tightness in the shoulders and neck,    eye pain
 brown colored mucus in the back of the throat,
 an aversion to being touched,"crawling" skin"
 hyper-acidity/acid reflux,  panic attacks,  mood swings
 difficulty swallowing and projectile vomiting,
 Fibromyalgia,  Diabetes,   Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
 lactose and/or alcohol intolerance,    Schizophrenia

Having finally managed to self-diagnose myself with what I had been affecting me, I consulted my GP who offered a course in antibiotics which worked their magic for a short period of time. It was frustrating to find that the Candida eventually came back to inhabit my gut and play havoc with my health.
