Wafan Sultan

Of course, it's all been said before.
The same hollow accusations against the West.
The same fake compassion for the suffering Palestinians.
The same declarations of the untouchable Koran.
HO HUM, yawn yawn.

Wafan Sultan, an Egyptian Psychiatrist living in the USA is the most articulate and powerful spokesperson against Islam today.
She is my hero.

In a lively debate against Islamists, she holds her own and makes many significant observations and statements that should be used as banners today.
"Islam is politics" for a start. That is extremely important to those who think it is just a religion like all other religions.

Wafa Sultan:
"Dr. Faysal, you know that you cannot separate Islam from politics. Islam is not a religion, but politics. You must let me express my views the way I want. When you called me, you didn't say I was not allowed to discuss Islam or the Koran. Islam says to them that they will 'kill or be killed', and here they are—killing and being killed. So what's wrong with that? They want to be martyred and to meet their black-eyed virgins, and Israel is merely helping them get what they want. What's wrong with that? If you want to change the course of events, you must reexamine your terrorist teachings, you must recognize and respect the right of the other to live, you must teach your children love, peace, coexistence, and productive work. When you do that, the world will respect you, will consider you in a better light, and will draw you in a better light."

Watching the video debate, I was thinking to myself about the appearance of the Islamist spokesman Tal'at Rmeih. He could be a professor, a businessman a doctor in his suit and tie, his immaculate grooming. Not the usual image of a terrorist in sandals, a sheet for a shirt and a turban with a filthy beard. So I thought to myself, I could be sitting next to this person on a plane, in a bus, in a theatre. I would not suspect for a moment that he was thinking about terrorism as justified action in a war against the West. Against me!

Apparently a $1 million dollar donation from Saudi Arabia is considered a friendly gesture enough to let down our guard and let into the country.

This week in Australia Tariq Ramadan will lecture at Griffith University. Banned from the US for his support of terrorist organizations, he is welcomed with open arms to Australia. Tariq Ramadan was removed from his teaching position at a junior high school for supporting stoning as punishment and declaring that Sharia Law is above all other human laws. This is a western educated university graduate!!

Seems to me that there is a cancer within our society eating away at the body politic, mutating cells to radical beliefs under our noses.

The beliefs of these islamists and their backers are contrary to human rights and basic decency.

I think Wafan sultan is spot on in her criticisms. I'm glad she resides in the U.S She would be silenced in many other countries.
