I Hate Advertising

I really loathe advertising. In fact I hate it so much that if I watch TV it's a program I've pre-recorded.
Commercial radio is another one of my pet hates. The screaming voice telling me about what I should buy is just awful. The advertiser obviously considers consumers to be absolute morons who won't pay attention unless you yell at them. Any merchant who treats their customers with such contempt should be boycotted. If I only watched the ads I'd know who they were. On the radio the offenders are known to me and they don't get my business.

The point is that ads can be entertaining and it doesn't get much better than the Evian promo.

That was a pretty cool commercial.

I hate em about as badly as you do. I've been recording all my shows on the DVR then fast forwarding. I can enjoy 3 programs in the time 2 normally took.

I'm sure someone will eventually take that ability away.

I hate ads too and am personally glad that Billy Mays is dead so I don't have to listen to him screaming any more. Does that make me heartless?

Now that was a good ad - won't make me buy Evian but I wouldn't change the channel

i love ads - in fact, if there were a station with nothing BUT ads, my tele would be tuned to it 24/7 - call it s.a.s.s.

short attention span syndrome.
