Profile - Ahmed Elomar

By all accounts Ahmed "Trigger" Elomar had a bright future, with 13 wins, two draws and no defeats under his belt. And a good bloke to boot.
"He was very, very nice and very gentle," said boxing legend Tony Mundine.
So Elomar's friends and training mates were stunned when the 24-year-old Australian flyweight champion was arrested in Lebanon last week, in connection with the seizure of an arsenal allegedly stockpiled by a cell of the militant Islamist group Fatah al-Islam.
BUT, note this "There is at this stage no evidence that Trigger Elomar was involved in violence or terrorism."( In Australia)

In the pursuit and detaining of those involved in terrorism, we are repeatedly told that there is a "lack of evidence". Harmless activities such as handling weapons coupled with travelling on false passport and attending secret training camps whilst having associations with radical preachers and other known terrorist suspects is not a crime in Australia.
Of course making disparaging remarks about "RACE" or offending religious sensitivities can lead to time in jail.

Well ... I use to say: "You know people only as long as you see them. What they do when they believe no one sees them, you don't know."
An innocent looking is not enough

Wallace dobsom, this post was made over two years ago. Is there any information to show that Ahmed has been exonerated of the charges mentioned? Is Ahmed's father accountable for the actions of his son? Should we judge the son by the actions of his father?
