What have I been doing all week? Well, remember that post on Port Douglas?
I think I'll move there to live.
Have put the house up for sale.
Lots of frantic activity this week emptying the house of clutter and too much furniture. Cleaning up, painting, vacuuming etc.
Will sell in four weeks at auction.
Life's dreams are made possible by making a decision and following it through.
No point in just dreaming anymore, life's too short.
NO time to blog.

BTW, most of my paintings hanging on the walls had to go. "Too strong" I think the expression, or something like that.

Selling a house is all about staging - you can put the paintings back up in the new place.

Are homes usually sold by auction? Can you sell it before then if someone wants it and will pay what you ask?

You don't kid around when you make your mind up do you? I can't imagine making such a huge change so quickly - but if you are retired then what's to stop you?

Look forward to hearing all about the move later on.

Jeannie, auction is neither usual nor unusual. It's just the best option for a quick sale and hopefully maximum value. I doubt somebody would offer a good price before the auction.

Wow! We've been contemplating a move for 13 years! :P

That's amazing, Lex. I admire that kind of determination and action.

Jen, we too have been contemplating the move for many years, it just seemed that now was the most opportune time and the place seems ideal.
