Truth too terrible to be spoken

Pastor Terry Jones in the U.S. is claiming that Islam must be held accountable.
“Muslim dominated countries can no longer be allowed to spread their hate against Christians and minorities,” he said. “They must alter the laws that govern their countries to allow for individual freedoms and rights, such as the right to worship, free speech, and to move freely without fear of being attacked or killed.”
Other than suggesting a Koran burning day on which he reneged, I don't know why Terry Jones can be justifiably labelled "radical".

Geert Wilders is telling us that multiculturism is dangerous.
And for expressing opinions like the quote below, he is taken to court and accused of racism.
Islam is a totalitarian ideology. Islamic Shariah law supervises every detail of life. Islam is not compatible with our Western way of life. Islam is a threat to our values. Respect for people who think otherwise, the equality of men and women, the equality of homosexuals and heterosexuals, respect for Christians, Jews, unbelievers and apostates, the separation of church and state, freedom of speech, they are all under pressure because of Islamization.
I agree with these quotes, does that make me a radical and a racist?
Has the world gone completely insane?
Am I that much out of step with conventional wisdom?

Woe is me.

Sounds reasonable to me.

Woe to us all. Everyone is just getting so screwed up. When will they make a law that says you can live as you please so long as it doesn't infringe on someone else's right to live as they please.

Lexcen,

I have a few issues with burning Korans, not that it is offensive to Muslims, but mostly how it makes those people look who burn them. People associate book burning with censorship and oppression. Both the Nazis and the Inquisition burned books. If anything Pastor Terry Jones actions where likely to just make him look like a bigot, especially to anyone who didn't know anything about Islam. However, all those fanatical Muslims have just successfully reinforced what he was trying to say by going around and murdering innocent people because they were angry that someone burned their holy book.

As for Wilders, I agree with most of what he says in his speech. I think he's not only very brave, but also very smart. In many ways, he's the Winston Churchill of our time.

Obviously the world has not gone insane since people around the world are doing things, that they clearly couldn't do if they were insane.

Damien,
I too do not favor burning the Koran.
Consider that if Mohammed was alive today, we would put him on trial for inciting hatred and violence, regardless of the merits of his religion.

Lexcen,

I agree with you, assuming we could capture him. Than again, if he was never in a position where he could have gotten away with what he did, he might not have even tried.

You're that much out of step with political correctness.
But, hardly alone in your views...
