I could do with one. I have hundreds of reasons to own one. Here are some of them:
- Joggers harassed by vicious dogs, need one
- Postmen harassed by people asking them when the posting box will be emptied
- Little children that run rampant in shopping centres
- Jehova's Witnesses knocking on my door
- Avon ladies knocking on my door
- Charity collectors knocking on my door
- Neighbours complaining about noisy music
- Unfriendly shop assistants
- Long queues in shops
- Dogs shitting in my garden

Most of those occasions could just do with a hand held stun gun.
Tasers are too difficult to reload and if the subject escapes with the darts in their skin they can be traced back to you.

Stun guns are a blast. You can just wack people randomly in crowded malls or on public transportation and everyone just thinks they're nut jobs. Not that I have ever done anything like that, I just think about the possibilities. I bet you could buy a stun gun on ebay, sure.
I just gave one to my neice. She attends college at a downtown campus. She is forced walk almost 1/2 mile to her car at night by herself.
She wasn't too keen on carrying one until she was accosted by some aggressive pan handlers and weirdos a few nights ago. Campus cops of course were nowhere to be found.
I tried to buy a stun gun on Ebay. Nobody will ship to Australia, damn.
