Zimbabwe

Here's a story that sends shivers down my spine. Twenty-five years after electing Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe is a basket case of an economy. Remember Rhodesia? One of the most developed countries in Africa. What happened?
I'm sure that my friend JP would have instant answers to this issue. And, to be honest, who could argue with his (gloves off) assessment? Political Correctness forbids us to voice what is the most obvious conclusion to the tragedy that is now Zimbabwe.
It isn't a major news item, the world is too preoccupied with the other more pressing issues like the Middle East, North Korea, Global Warming, worldwide drought, climate change, the supply of oil, to worry about Zimbabwe. We can ignore Zimbabwe because it isn't a major source of oil. Leave it in the background. Forget about it for another 25 years.
