Humor Australian Style

The breach of APEC security by the ABC's Chaser Team is hilarious.

Australian humor at it's best always targets authority, the pretentious, the establishment.

The picture is the reason behind the fact that the fake motorcade didn't reach it's point of destination, Mr Bush's residence.

The motorcade made up of three official looking cars was let through by police security in a secure area that hasn't been seen before in Australia. At a cost of $180 million dollars in fact.
This story just highlights our inability to perceive a threat unless it is a blatantly obvious cliché image of a Muslim garbed and bearded man.

In fact, it is a very serious point to realize how complacent we are as a society when it comes to identifying an imminent threat. We react subconsciously to someone dressed in hijab as if they are a potential terrorist. Not good enough, pathetic really.
The threat of terrorism is from those amongst us who blend in, who appear normal, who do not stand out in the crowd.
I applaud the Chaser team for making this serious point, albeit in humorous way.
