Body Piercing

I saw a comment on Chris's blog about this aweful trend. Couldn't resist to vent my Wrath.

It seems to me that when people do stupid things we can laugh at them or make fun of them. But when it comes to trends such as body piercing, there's nothing I can say that would add to the ridiculous, stupid, asinine result of what people have done to themselves.

My son has a pierced tongue. That's OK as long as he doesn't open his mouth.

How can I look at someone in the eye and not crack up laughing when they have a pointy stud sticking out of their lower lip?

How can I not feel a twinge of pain when I see someone with a stud in their eybrow?

This really begs the question, is there anything people would not do if it was fashionable? I wonder.

One of my daughters has gone heavy into piercing. I do not understand it and while I have expressed my view she is very happy with her look.

What is a father to do?

travel italy, look for a good plastic surgeon, your daughter will need one once the insanity of youth passes and the fad is no longer prominent.

I've seen the rare decent looking piercing but it seems that most people get carried away with it. Should be a subtle thing & compliment a persons features. The lip thing I just don't get it. The tongue, well that should be reserved only for porn stars.

Oh wow, I just remembered that my girlfriend of many years has a piercing. Haha, forgot all about it. After a while you just don't notice it anymore. Its how shall I say this....., it's not usually exposed to daylight!
