Deadwood

I can't begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying the series Deadwood.
Even if it has taken six years to reach Australia, probably because we're so far away from the U.S. it's still been worth the wait.
This series shows the era of the wild west we haven't seen since the classic spaghetti westerns of Sergio Leone in the sixties starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach.
What strikes me most about Deadwood is how much effort has been put into the dialog. Rough and foul as it is, there is a poetic quality to it. Each character being defined by the language they speak.
From now on I will not think of a big problem in any other way than  a "long term ass fuck" OUCH!.
And being threatened to be thrown off a balcony and landing on my head will certainly take the pleasure out of farting while in that position.
Deadwood, I take my hat off to you.

I guess I was overwhelmingly busy as I only vaguely recall hearing about this show and have never seen it. Maybe it never came to Canada, I don't know.
